"A wonderful place with panoramic views of the multi-layered Blue Ridge Mountains and the sounds of silence ......... the rustle of the leaves in the trees, the birds chirping ..... a cup of coffee all to yourself on the deck, early in the morning. Nice to see the occasional rabbit, deer or turkey scamper off as they detect your presence in their world. Haven't enjoyed seeing fire flies light up the dark for many years, brought back memories of long ago. Great place to unplug and relax with family and friends, or just with a good book." "I now see why you call your home 'The Mountain Majesty'. Not only are the views incredible, but part of the theme in the interior of the home, being patriotic with red/white/blue, is cute. Reminds me of the song "Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skies". The beauty in and out of the home is just incredible! I liked the theme of the bedroom I stayed in, "Country Cats", as I'm a cat lover. Neat with your themes throughout the house. Enjoyed watching my all time favorite "Sound of Music" I found from your huge library of DVDs and VHS tapes. Nice on the large screen over the fireplace. Was nice taking day trips to the various sites around your place, but have to say the trip to Mt. Airy and to the Andy Griffith tour was my favorite. Brought back lots of memories from that TV show with Andy, Oppie, Aunt Bea, Goober, etc. My sister was able to stay in touch with "the real world" on the wireless internet and was pleasantly surprised to have a good signal on her cell phone. "We enjoyed our visit very much. The cabin is incredible. We loved the views -- we even saw wildlife. We enjoyed the vast DVD collection and board games. The kids had a blast in the game room. The fall foliage was spectacular -- so many beautiful colors. Weather was perfect. The highlight of our adventure was a voyage up an unknown peak off the trail. The descent by moonlight thru the briars and streambeds will long be remembered. Our yells can still be heard echoing thru the wilderness. Sorry for scaring the bears away. We hope that they will one day feel safe enough to return."

"It is truly a treasured gift from God, my family and the Vazquez family, who have made their beautiful "Majestic Mountain" home available to others. This vacation for our extended family was to celebrate my 65th birthday on February 1st and Kianna (my youngest granddaughters) 2nd birthday. My husband, daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren (Kiara, Nathan & Kianna) have so enjoyed your beautiful home! I'm enjoying the quiet solitude where I wrote a letter to my 12 year old granddaughter, Kiara, while gazing at the majestic mountains in their muted, dormant stage. The children woke up the first morning to an icy wonderland and were so excited. They don't see much ice in Florida! We enjoyed visiting Chimney Rock, hiking and riding the elevator there. The children went snow tubing at Moonshine Mountain, which was great fun. I enjoyed going to the authentic, down home bluegrass coffee house, "Old Fort Mt. Music" in Old Fort. We all danced there including Kianna, who really enjoyed it, as did Nathan. We enjoyed driving through the beautiful countryside, visiting the Folk Art Center and going to the "Fiddlin Pig" to eat and hear Bluegrass. "What a marvelous treat your Mountain Majesty was for our family. We prayed for the perfect spot for my mom's 65th birthday celebration get-a-way. She works so hard helping others and so deserves a rest. As we drove up and entered your home, everyone was delighted, it was definitely the perfect present!! We awoke on February 1st (her actual birthday) to a land filled with ice. The trees were so beautiful and as we explored the winter paradise, the mountains began to appear through the clouds. Since we live in Florida, the children were beyond excited to see the ice. We also went on a road trip to Hendersonville to experience snow tubing. We had planned to take road trips everyday, but it was so beautiful here that we stayed a few days just to enjoy the serenity of the mountains. We danced to Bluegrass Music and played many of your games. We found out that our pop is quite a "pool shark". We had great fun counting your roosters. After days of discovering hens in secret hidden places, our final count was 277 roosters. North Carolina is definitely our new favorite state to visit. There are so many wonderful places to visit. We will be back and we will tell all our friends about The Mountain Majesty!! Thank you for your beautiful decorating and thoughtfulness in every detail. Our two year old daughter especially loved the singing bear that was her height. Every night she would go over and say "Good night Grandma, Good night Grandpa" to your figures by the stairs. "Wow! What an incredible view to wake up to. We arrived late last night -- when the sun rose this morning, it was breathtaking! Our families have enjoyed getting together -- the kids have loved your hill -- sliding down it all day long -- two 8-year-olds, 7, 5, 4, 2 and 7 months. "We arrived on a foggy, foggy Friday evening. The misty morning brought magical views that only got better as the fog burned off. Our stay at the Majesty was relaxing and everything we could imagine. My particular favorite part were all the ladybugs. There are a ton of ladybugs. My boys found a hunting dog in the woods that we dropped off at the Animal Control office. Great house, great vibe.
